Toronto's 2024 New Year's Eve Celebrations: Fireworks, Music, and More!

Wondering how to make the most of New Year's Eve in Toronto? Get ready for a spectacular fireworks show returning to the waterfront for an unforgettable celebration!

The City of Toronto has just announced a dazzling New Year's Eve event, featuring not only breathtaking fireworks but also DJs, food trucks, and live performances. It's shaping up to be an evening of non-stop fun to welcome 2024.

Choose from fantastic locations like Sherbourne Common, Toronto Music Garden, or Harbour Square Park, where the festivities kick off at 10 PM on December 31, 2023. The grand fireworks display lights up the midnight sky. Best of all, admission to all events is free!

While City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square won't have a fireworks show this year, they've got you covered with stunning holiday lighting displays and skating until 10 PM on December 31st.

Looking for the perfect spot to catch the fireworks? Sugar Beach Park, Little Norway Park, and HTO Park along Toronto's inner harbour are recommended by the City of Toronto for optimal viewing.

If the chilly weather isn't your thing, no worries! You can still catch the countdown live on the City of Toronto Culture YouTube Channel.

Getting around the city for the festivities is a breeze – the TTC is offering free service all night long, starting at 7 PM on December 31, 2023, until 8 AM on January 1, 2024.

For those driving into the city, keep an eye out for road closures:

  • Eastbound on Queens Quay W. from 10 PM on December 31, 2023, to 1 AM on January 1, 2024.
  • Bay St. from Lakeshore Blvd. W. to Queens Quay W. from 10 PM on December 31, 2023, to 1 AM on January 1, 2024.
