TTC Halloween Fest: A Spooky Celebration in an Abandoned Subway Station

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is excited to announce the return of its annual Halloween Fest, a family-friendly event that will take place at Lower Bay Station on October 28 and October 29, 2023.

Lower Bay Station is a long-abandoned subway station that is only open to the public on rare occasions. It is located tucked 13 metres below street level and underneath Bay Station on Line 2. The station originally served as an extra transfer point between all lines, but it shuttered shortly after opening because it was too confusing for many riders and delays at the station could choke the entire subway system.

TTC Halloween Fest is a unique opportunity to explore this eerie and atmospheric space. The festival will feature a variety of activities and entertainment, including: a haunted subway adventure, a trick-or-treat train, TTC trivia, giveaways for children, and a garage sale with themed merchandise!

Admission is $5, though children under two can enter for free. All proceeds will go to the United Way of Greater Toronto.

TTC Halloween Fest is a unique and spooky event that is sure to be a lot of fun for you. Have a good Halloween!

When: October 28 from 9am to 7pm and October 29 from 9am to 4pm

Where: Line 2 – Bay Station (1240 Bay Street)
